Spying on the Home Front

I'm pretty sure this is a somewhat stale video, but a friend linked it to me and it does a very good job of laying things out in an easy to digest format. Read up on what they are doing, then get the tools to keep the NSA out of your communications:

I'm a fan of both Nerdcore as well as Progressive Metal, and finally the two have crossed paths in the form of Able-X's 2nd installment of Cover Fire, which happens to feature his take on Blind Guardian's song A Past and Future Secret, which though some people suggest its not his strongest track on the album I must still applaud because 1) it features one of my favorite metal bands and 2) he had the gonads to take on a song which has some seriously insane vocal work. Not to ignore the rest of the tracks however, there are some real zingers in there like the Ricky Astley cover, now I can say I've heard the song and NOT been rick-rolled for once.

Suffice to say that earlier today before work I had a very lengthy blog post whipped up about my latest improvised wireless antenna as well as tales of my adventures with BackTrack2. Unfortunately shitty wireless conspired against me with the packet gods to trash said entry and replace it with fail, lots and lots of fail! I don't normally blog about personal matters here, because lets all face it nobody wants to hear that whiny emo shit anyway? right? So here is a far more condensed, confusing and rambling version of what I had written up earlier as well as some extra junk.
Wireless
I basically mixed up equal parts satellite dish, 303 bean can, USB wireless adapter and tripod to make what I had hoped was a successful revision of my tried and true metal bowl dish which you can see in an older post which I do not have a link to at the moment.
Pwning
Tried BackTrack2 in an effort to get into a neighbors network since my home connection is turned off at the moment, failed miserably thanks to a shitty Linksys device which seemed to lock up after a short while and basically didn't let me collect enough IVs to carry out the cracking phase.
Music
Picked up some new free tunes from the interwebs; vis-a-vis the Able-X album Cover Fire Vol 1 which for being so short contains some rather interesting tracks; I especially endorse and dig the Tears for Fears cover, tis made of awesome! Also getting rotation now is a series of tracks on Rai's myspace, another artist I would never even have heard if if it wasn't for nerdcore in general and more specifically Z, who is by far the single best source for any nerdcore information ever and I'm not just saying that because I read HP every day, honest! Its refreshing to hear such a beautiful voice backed by the always skilled Ultraklystron's beats, now to wait it out for the full album.
