Stupid Hippies

from news.bbc.co.uk

Four people were arrested after unfurling a banner from the top of the British Airways Airbus A320, which had arrived from Manchester.

BAA said operations at the airport were not affected and described the protest as "unlawful and irresponsible".

This is so typical of the limp-wrist banner wavers who call themselves environmentalists that its not even funny. They disregard laws put in place for the safety of all (like keeping retards out of dangerous places like airport tarmacs) to put a banner up on some property they have no right to even touch all the while dictating to others what they should and should not be doing. When will these maggots learn that you have put your money where your mouth is, I'm sure most of them parked their cars in a park and ride somewhere to go hop the fence and do their little mischievous deed. Its just a shame a careless pilot didn't power up one of the engines while they were screwing around and suck them into the intake, the cost of damages would be worth the humor in the long run. So next time some filthy hippy gets in your face and starts telling you what you should be doing to 'save the planet' smack them upside the face and explain to them why they are assholes.

Homeless Experiment: FAIL!

Monday, February 18, 2008

Building a life on 25$ and a Gym Bag

So this dude thinks because he spent 10 months pretending to be poor that he somehow has a fucking handle on what others go through, that somehow he now 'understands' homeless? What an asshole! And then uses his pseudo-experiment as a way to hawk a book he wrote about the whole thing, thats the real kicker of all this. I'm sorry but this tool has no damn idea what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck, knowing that any sickness will put you out of a place to live and possibly even a job. He probably can't wrap his brain around the fact that homeless people are fighting against every odd, they might be hooked on a drug, afflicted by mental illness, physically disabled, or even just outright depressed and apathetic to their situation because its all they have ever known. Anybody who gives this guy credit is a fool and should be slapped; the fact he carried a credit card around for emergencies completely blows this thing apart. When you really are that far down on your luck and in the shit there is no magical lifeline piece of plastic in your back pocket that will make it all go away.

Fear of Murphy's Law is what motivates you to not fuck up, to push yourself to get things done and get ahead; this guy had none of that fear because he had a whole network of people to fall back on and money in the bank, hell just seeing friends and family probably brightened his mood therefore the story is even further blasted to shit. Now had someone who had no living family nor friends went into this experiment without any sort of lifelines what so ever then I might be inclined to give it some credibility however this guy is just completely full of shit.

Things that keep me up at night

Sunday, February 3, 2008

Firstly go here and read this story completely, even if you don't completely grasp what they are talking about, that will be remedied shortly.

To put it bluntly the plot line of Die Hard: Live Free or Die Hard is one more step closer to coming true. With the bad guys in control of our grids its only a matter of time before a coordinated effort will plunge the entire country into total chaos. Now I'm not one to jump on the fear bandwagon but this is definitely one that makes me give serious consideration to my level of preparedness should I wake up one morning to find that the electricity to my apartment is off and not because of non-payment or any of the more normal and acceptable reasons. The fact that this has already happened in at least one spot according to the CIA should be grounds for some serious backlash from the public, but I fear at the first mention of hackers, SCADA or anything technological 99% of the country begins ignoring things because they consider it computerese and not something that is very real and very possible. It really is a shame that more people don't understand what this could mean for them should someone really attempt to pull off a 'fire sale', I can only hope (and thats probably wasted effort) that this mess gets sorted before someone does something incredibly stupid and fucks up the whole country.
